I love having days off with Mark. Its awesome having one day a week where we can count on hanging out and having a fun today together. Of course we hang out a lot of other times through out the week but its nice having a set day. Its something to look forward to.
Yesterday we were going to do something "fun" with Matt but due to lack of planning, cell phones not getting texts, late arrivals due to drug running (ie. getting a prescription filled) and getting caught up in the worlds most ridiculous TV show we got a late start and didn't have much time to go much further than our own backyard. So we went to Ontario Mills Mall.
We wandered a bit and had a general good time. We got to go to the Virgin Mega Store, and we had to go to the smelly boy store (Game Stop) and we went to Cost Plus World Market where Mark and Matt bought Japanese soda pop. I thought it tasted like good cleaning solution. It tasted very fresh. LOL! But Mark wasn't a huge fan so I ended up drinking most of it.
We ate lunch at the Olive Garden. The girl who took us to our table had the worlds scariest hair. It looked like a huge rats nest with four large black rat tails poking out the bottom. I don't know why her mother let her leave the house looking like that. Mark and I were very afraid of it. But Matt was oblivious. We also had a really rude waiter who just kind of threw things on the table and grated half the cheese directly into my lap. Mmmmm...Parmesean Crotch! And THEN there was the issue with the lights... Bright....dim...bright...off...dim. As Matt says "Dimmer switch!!!!" It was a strange lunch to be sure but my soup, salad and bread sticks were oh-so-very-good! Thanks for lunch, Mark! OH! Plus we each got TWO Andee's Mints! Mmmmm!
We went to Target and I was able to get a frame for my awesome aerial photo of the Disneyland Resort that Mark bought me. We also hit up Starbucks where the man running the cash register called everyone either "young man" or "young lady" about 500 times through out the transaction and the woman barista who shouted at the top of her lungs every time she spoke. We decided to take the coffee home to avoid the annoying-ness there. Also it was here where I discovered I had been sitting on a Box Cutter all day in Matt' car. Thankfully my ass is still in pristine condition.
We framed my picture and hung it. It looks great! And we played ourselves som Uno. We discussed Las vegas and the concert we want to go to in July. Matt left to meet his dad for dinner and Mark played music on his guitar and I sung along. And then we co-designed the tattoo we want to get. I really like it! Now... to find the right place to get it done...
Yesterday was super fun. Mark, Matt, Brian and I all hung out. We started out the day with a trip to Time Warner Cable and then a stop at Mark's parents house to instal the cable boxes we picked up. Matt and I entertained ourselves by admiring how Brian's car gave our reflections extrordinarily large asses. Mark told me I looked cute yesterday. He obviously did not see my reflection in the Tornado.
Yes, I've decided to name Brian's car the Tornado. Its grey and you never know which way its going to turn. I'll show you how we all looked in Brian's car:
To be fair I was sitting behind Brian so I can't be 100% sure he was blindfolded... but I think he was. (LOL! Brian you know we tease because we care. Thanks for being our chauffuer yesterday!!!!! Especially with gas prices and the gas companies sticking their wieners up our butts and all that.)
We headed to Victoria Gardens. It was a really nice day. We ate lunch at the Corner Bakery. Mark bought me lunch. It was SO good. I love their trio of salads. We hit up Urban Outfitters and I found lots of stuff I wish I could afford for the apartment. LOL! We of course had to look at the puppies and Mark and I found this amazing pet brush we wanted to get for Mable but it was over $40!! That is insanity.
We stopped at the candy store and Mark was like... well... a kid in the candy store. He bought me a chocolate bar and then got a bag of assorted candy to share. Mmmm... that chocolate hit the spot! Then we went to Crate and Barrel and tried out ever single piece of furniture they had there. Oh man... we found the worlds most heavenly sofa ever.
After we exhausted Victoria Gardens of all its free fun we headed to BevMo and looked at all sorts of fun drinks we'd like to try when cash is flowing more freely. Matt got a Japanese soda, Mark got an energy drink and Brian got 4 tiny bottles of booze.
Out tummies were rumbling again so Mark suggested Souplantation. YUM! More salad for me. We all ate our fill and then ate dessert. Thanks for dinner, Marffy! And then we stoped at the video game store so Mark could buy Halo 3. Back at the apartment we entertained ourselves with YouTube and Get Smart until I had to go to bed because 330am comes way too early in the morning.
Well, I'm pretty much all settled. Mable is now "free to move about the cabin" as it were. Her current favorite past time is seeing which shelves, counters and tables she can jump up on. And I now have Air Conditioning after the hottest weekend if the year so far. And the Cable and internet should be set up on Wednesday if Time Warner doesn't screw up again. Mark took me to dinner on Saturday for (in his words) being so good to him. We were going to see a movie too but didn't have time so I took a rain check on that and we'll go later this week. It was really sweet of him! We went to Souplantaion. YUM! And Matt came over after and we all played us some Rock Band.
I'm still not feeling 100% about the move. I've been stressed and feeling a bit down but I've been trying very hard to have a positive outlook on things and I think I'm doing an okay job. Plus, Mark promised to spend the night every so often and that makes me happy. Its a nice thing to look forward to. We had a delightful nap in the only cool-ish room in the apartment on Sunday. LOL! Mark, Mable and I all stretched out by the fan. Now... if that damn IRS money would just get here I could buy myself a bed. That's all I want... and for my oven to work. Thank Buddha my apartment now has a temperature below 500 degrees at least. Its the little things that make me happy.
